The Volunteer Portal provides our Emergency Services Volunteers
access to a variety of relevant information, including Course Catalogue
and Training Calendars through Professional Development and Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as access to online FIRS reporting.
In addition, the procurement of consumables, uniforms and equipment is
also made available through the Portal to all Brigades, Groups and
DFES has received valuable feedback from volunteers about problems experienced with access and registration for the Volunteer Portal.
We are pleased to provide you with this solution, which will require a new one-off registration and then enable a simplified login process. This process will make accessing the Volunteer Portal much easier for you. To complete the new registration process select ‘register now’ button below or to access detailed instructions, click here.
DFES Staff can no longer access the Portal using an employee ID number but do not need to re-register. When accessing the Portal externally, staff must choose the ‘DFES Employee’ option and login using their standard Windows login details. If staff need to access the eAcademy from the DFES Network they should follow the link from the Professional Development Intranet homepage and provide their DFES Network credentials (username and password) when prompted.

For DFES staff who are also Volunteers please note you will no longer be able to register with your volunteer/employee number. Access to the Volunteer Portal internally and externally will be via your DFES staff individual username login and password.
