FESA ICT has scheduled an outage for the corporate database environment that stores information for the business applications as listed below. This is scheduled to occur on Saturday 10 December 2011, from 10:00 through to 14:00.
ICT is in the process migrating physical servers onto the new virtualisation platform in order to:
1) Move to enterprise hardware infrastructure
2) Increase availability capabilities
3) Prepare for Disaster Recovery planning
This change deals with the migration of the FESA ICT Database Servers (SLQC) that makes up this environment. It will not affect COMCEN critical applications, but the following business services will be during this period:
Sharepoint: Intranet/Extranet, and therefore access to applications accessed via either the Intranet or Extranet
Air Operations Application (AirOps)
Post Incident Analysis System (PIAD)
Leigh Business Enterprises Help Desk (LBEHelpDesk )
Operational Improvement Database(OID)
Operational Information Systems Report Server
ICT Help Desk (InfraHelpDesk)
Staff and Management Systems (SAMS)
Emergency Service Levy Systems (ESL/ESLR)
Integrated Bushfire Risk Management System (IBRMS/UCL)
Records Management System (Trim)
Cost vs. Contribution Model (CVCM)
To avoid any potential loss of data FESA staff should avoid using any of the above listed business systems during this maintenance window.
If staff have any questions or concerns please contact the FESA Helpdesk prior to Friday 9 December 2011.
The FESA Helpdesk can be contacted from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 on 9323 9489 or via email,
